Job Summary

Define and implement data governance and quality standards across a large, complex organization by establishing operating models, business glossaries, data catalogs, and lineage processes. Guide technical and business stakeholders on data ownership, stewardship, and adoption of frameworks while influencing alignment in a global, multicultural environment. Leverage expertise in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, to support strategic transformation initiatives within the Energy & Utilities sector. Ensure deliverables meet GDPR compliance and privacy best practices through analytical thinking and proactive autonomy in Agile settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Management, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality practices, frameworks, and processes
  • Experience with Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, and Data Quality processes
  • Experience with Data Governance and/or Data Quality tools
  • Up-to-date knowledge of databases and analytics technologies, including Data Lake, Lakehouse, and NoSQL storage architectures
  • Experience with at least one Cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, including their concepts, architectures, and data management/governance capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to define Data Governance standards and solutions, guide teams, and promote the adoption of Data Governance and Data Quality practices within a large organisation
  • Experience working in collaborative environments and with multidisciplinary or global teams
  • Strong commitment to the quality of deliverables
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector
  • Knowledge of GDPR and best practices related to data privacy and protection
  • Experience in strategic or organisational transformation projects
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken
  • Experience in defining Data Governance operating models, data catalogs, business glossaries, Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, data lineage, and data quality metrics
  • Clear and effective communication skills
