Job Summary
Assess and advocate for data management technologies to eliminate gaps between current and future states, interpreting strategic plans to improve data integration, quality, and delivery. Formulate architectural trade-offs across solution options before recommending optimal designs that meet technical requirements and align with client strategic goals. Lead teams of data engineers through design, implementation, and best practices while providing insights to executive stakeholders to maximize the value of client data. Communicate with non-technical leaders regarding the value of modern enterprise data solutions and drive innovative technology solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends. Partner with the business development team to demonstrate technical capabilities, envision proposed solutions, and estimate work plans.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience implementing with a variety of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies
- Advanced proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, CosmosDB) and modern data warehouse tools including Snowflake and DataBricks
- Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage and relational modeling leveraging industry standard languages including SQL and Python
- Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture
- Ability to assess traditional and modern data architectural components based on business needs
- Experience in recommending data governance best practices including MDM, security, privacy and policies
- Experience leading enterprise engineering teams through implementations serving as POC on design decisions and best practices

- Must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship
