Job Summary
Senior Data Analytics Engineer on the Data Analytics Data Platform (DADP) team builds and delivers business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft Analytics stack. The engineer works directly with clients to ensure their expectations and decision-making tool needs are met and creates scalable, reliable data solutions through data analytics solution development. Responsibilities include building and maintaining databases, data pipelines, and data lakes; transforming and modeling data; developing reporting and analytics; creating dashboards; and collaborating with clients and the DADP team. Requires experience with Azure data tools (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric), SQL, Python, data warehousing/lakehouse concepts, ETL/ELT, data modeling (Kimball), and strong communication and problem-solving skills; Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years of data engineering experience; there is emphasis on client-focused delivery, Agile practices, and ongoing education/certification. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of work experience in data engineering
- Azure technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Fabric
- Understanding of Agile engineering practices
- Data warehouse and lakehouse methodologies (medallion architecture)
- Data ETL/ELT processes
- Data profiling and anomaly detection
- Data modeling (Dimensional/Kimball)
- SQL
- Relational database platforms
- DevOps/Continuous integration & continuous delivery
- Growing familiarity with Python
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Desire for continued education and certification related to the position
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Previous consulting experience preferred but not required
