Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary
Design and build high-performance, scalable end-to-end analytical solutions by modelling data and delivering intuitive reports and dashboards. Develop, maintain, and optimize semantic models, dashboards, and reports that support strategic and operational decision-making. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand complex requirements, challenge assumptions, and translate them into scalable data solutions. Perform ad hoc analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that support business decisions. Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability by applying analytical best practices throughout the reporting lifecycle. Contribute to improving BI solutions and reporting processes by proposing new approaches, optimizing existing solutions, and promoting BI best practices. Support business users through workshops, training sessions, and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics or similar data-focused roles
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with BI tools, preferably Power BI
- Understanding of data modelling principles and experience designing semantic models for analytical reporting
- Experience designing and developing reports and dashboards following data visualization best practices
- Experience working with large and complex datasets, including query and reporting performance optimization
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good spoken and written English skills
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively with remote teammates and business users
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Power Query (M) and DAX
- Understanding of ETL/ELT principles and experience with data integration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory)
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrating external data sources
- Understanding of modern data architecture concepts (e.g. Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture)
- Familiarity with Azure data technologies (e.g. Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage)
- Experience with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks)
- Experience designing and developing paginated reports using SSRS or Power BI Paginated Reports
- Interest in or experience using AI-powered tools and agents to enhance analytics and BI development
