Job Summary
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards providing insights into Elsevier’s IT and multi-cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include leading data visualization practices, translating complex datasets into actionable insights, managing stakeholder relationships, and continuously improving dashboards based on user feedback. Required skills include strong expertise in Tableau, advanced SQL, experience with large datasets, proficiency with DBT, and familiarity with GenAI tools. Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Tableau expertise, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality dashboard design and user-centric thinking
- Experience in a data analytics, BI, or reporting role delivering insights into operational or business performance
- Proven experience working with large, complex datasets, including data profiling and cleansing
- Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets and developing complex reports
- Experience with relational databases (preferably Snowflake)
- Experience with DBT
- Experience using GenAI tools and applying them to analytics workflows
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong written communication skills, including clear documentation of definitions, logic, and dashboard guidance
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud technologies
- Knowledge of Python is a plus
