Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using SQL Server (SSIS) to process and transform payments data. Build and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support reporting and analytics. Develop operational and regulatory reports using SSRS while ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency across the reporting landscape. Support the migration of legacy data assets to the European data platform by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to map, validate, and migrate data structures. Document existing systems, pipelines, and reporting logic to enable smooth transition. Translate loosely defined business requirements into robust technical solutions and perform root cause analysis on data issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, data design, and system improvements while adhering to best practices for code quality and version control.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience working in a SQL Server-based data environment
- Strong hands-on expertise in: SQL (advanced querying, performance tuning)
- Strong hands-on expertise in: SSIS (ETL development)
- Strong hands-on expertise in: SSRS (reporting solutions)
- Proven experience working with large-scale data sets, preferably in payments or financial services
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL design patterns
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, logical approach
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS, or other cloud-based data platforms
- Exposure to data migration / transformation programs
- Familiarity with modern data tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, or similar orchestration frameworks)
- Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory reporting
