Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary
Design, develop, and interpret business, technology, and cybersecurity risk metrics to identify emerging risks and control weaknesses. Analyze trends across KRIs, KCIs, and KPIs to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making and executive-level narratives for risk committees. Partner with Cybersecurity and Technology teams to enhance metric design, thresholds, and signal quality while supporting thematic reviews of ineffective metrics. Contribute to the evolution of the technology risk metrics framework and analyze breach trends to inform leadership decisions. Mentor team members on reporting best practices and lead strategic initiatives within the GBS COO – Business Insights & Analytics team.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years' experience in analytics, risk management, cybersecurity, or technology governance
- Bachelor's degree
- Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime
- Amenability to work on mid shift or night shift
- Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Excel (Power Query & VBA Macro)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge on Microsoft PowerPoint and Business Intelligence Tools such as Python, R for data querying, PowerBI, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or any other similar tool
- Hands-on experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and ETL processes skills such as collecting, transforming, and compiling raw data and generating useful reports from raw information
- Demonstrated data storytelling, data visualization, and data governance skills to create compelling reports with dashboard elements like tables, charts, graphs, heat maps, and data models
- Extensive familiarity with data management concepts such as data warehousing, data mining and extraction, and predictive analytics and business reporting principles and best practices
- Analytical skills to rigorously and effectively examine large quantities of data and derive useful insights from these data sets
- Proven ability to translate technical data into clear, business focused insights
- Strong understanding of risk metrics (KRIs, KCIs, KPIs), including leading and lagging indicators, with demonstrated ability to challenge and enhance metric design, thresholds, and overall signal quality to improve effectiveness
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in supporting executive or committee-level reporting, including development of narratives and decision-focused insights

- Should have advanced knowledge on Microsoft Excel (Power Query & VBA Macro)
