Senior Data Analyst

HybridSydney, New South Wales, Australia

Full TimeSenior Level

Job Summary

Own the event data lifecycle end to end: work with event leads to understand each event, then manage the intake, transformation, import, export, and reporting of customer data. Ensure data quality throughout by validating and reconciling data at every stage so issues are caught before they reach customers. Automate manual processes by progressively replacing spreadsheet-driven workflows with scripts, reusable routines, and API-driven workflows. Improve data visibility across the business through dashboards, reporting, and better information flow between teams. Partner with product and engineering to translate recurring data patterns into platform features and support product testing with realistic datasets. Champion AI adoption within responsible-use boundaries, including the protection of customer personal information.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years' hands-on experience working with data, owning outcomes end to end
  • Advanced Excel
  • Strong SQL
  • Python for data work, with code you understand and can maintain
  • Practical experience working with REST APIs
  • Experience with BI tooling (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
  • A proven automation track record: a manual process you turned into an automated one
  • Rigorous validation habits — you never ship data you haven't verified
  • Fluency with AI tools as part of daily work, with the judgement to validate their output
  • Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
  • Must be comfortable with autonomy
  • You will be given problems rather than task lists, and trusted to shape the approach and deliver the solution
  • This is not a reporting role building the clean data, and engineering away the manual work, is the job
  • Must be available for occasional on-site or out-of-hours support around major events
  • Must be based in our Ultimo, NSW office

Desired Qualifications

  • Version control (Git) and experience documenting work so others can run it
  • Exposure to ETL processes or data engineering in a commercial environment
  • Experience with event technology, CRM data (e.g. Salesforce), or other high-volume people-data domains
  • Experience with Zapier, Airtable, Wrike, Miro, Claude and Slack
  • Previous live event or trade show experience
