Job Summary
Conduct complex analyses of MCO encounter data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Perform quality assurance and validation activities for programs, measures, rates, and reports to meet regulatory standards and client expectations. Develop queries and design analytics, including Tableau dashboards, to support program evaluation and operational decision-making. Collaborate with management, programmers, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into actionable instructions. Identify opportunities to automate processes and streamline workflows within the department. Represent leadership on customer calls as needed. This role is office-based in Jericho, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical, research or health-related field
- Two (2) years experience working in the health care field or equivalent experience in an MCO
- Two (2) years of SAS programming experience related to data manipulation and reporting
- Knowledge of SAS Macros and PROC SQL
- Experience with Tableau, Python and/or MS Power Automate
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in public administration, public policy, public health or related social science with course work including both statistical and process analysis
- Familiarity with HEDIS, CMS Protocols or HIPAA encounter file formats
- Master's degree and one (1) year of experience
