Job Summary
Senior Data Analyst in Investment Management supporting portfolio management, investment research and risk teams; builds analytical models and insights for performance attribution and portfolio analytics; collaborates with data engineers on investment data pipelines and data models; designs and delivers dashboards for investment, risk and senior stakeholders; operates in Agile with Jira/Azure DevOps to manage analytical and data product backlogs; explores AI/advanced analytics for insights and decision support; works with third-party data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI) to source and integrate data; role located in Ireland with a hybrid working model.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years’ experience in data analytics, with experience in investment management, asset management or financial services
- Strong analytical capability with experience in performance attribution, portfolio analytics or risk modelling
- Proficiency in Python (e.g. pandas, NumPy) for financial data analysis and modelling
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks)
- Good understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and associated data structures
- Experience working within Agile environments, including backlog management and iterative delivery
- Familiarity with project management and delivery tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience working with data engineering teams and contributing to data pipeline or data product development
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly
- Demonstrated delivery focus, with the ability to prioritise effectively and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in and ability to apply AI or advanced analytics techniques to financial data is desirable
