Senior Data Analyst (Finance)

Job Summary
Design robust internal and external reporting solutions for financial operations and FinTech initiatives, including projecting campaign impacts and measuring partnership value. Define measurement frameworks and lead complex SQL model development using BigQuery and dbt to transform massive datasets into actionable insights. Collaborate with senior finance leaders to recommend analytics solutions, negotiate priorities, and present data-backed recommendations that influence strategy. Build user-friendly dashboards in Looker or Tableau and implement AI-powered workflows for root-cause analysis and anomaly detection. Mentor junior analysts to enhance technical skills while driving AI adoption and upskilling within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics with a strong focus on SQL, python, data modeling, and data visualization
- 3+ years of experience supporting Finance or similar teams, with a track record of influencing leadership and driving financial operations, reporting, or FinTech optimizations via actionable, data-backed recommendations
- Proficiency with advanced SQL (preferably with BigQuery or similar DWH) and experience in Looker or Tableau
- Solid background in statistical analysis, including experimentation and data modeling
- Experience leading or mentoring other analysts, with a ability to foster teamwork and collaboration
- Strong business acumen with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently on complex projects and deliver high-impact results in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Payments and/or Financial Products a strong asset
- Familiarity with dbt/Airflow is a plus
