Job Summary
Senior AI and Data Cloud Architect to lead multi-cloud AI, data, and cloud architecture engagements across South Africa and the Middle East & Africa. Drive pre-sales solutioning, governance, and end-to-end platform architectures leveraging Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud-native solutions for AI/ML, data engineering, and analytics, including MLOps and AI governance. Mentor architects and engineers, collaborate with engineering, security, data, AI, and application teams, and stay current with hyperscaler innovations. Provide architectural leadership for cloud migration, data modernization, and platform transformation initiatives; promote IaC and platform engineering practices; engage with executive stakeholders and support business growth and cloud transformation programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, data platforms, analytics, or digital transformation
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
- Proven experience supporting pre-sales, solution consulting, business development, and complex sales pursuits
- Strong knowledge of cloud services across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud (Azure AI, Synapse, Vertex AI, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, Terraform, and DevOps/DataOps/MLOps practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and architecture documentation skills
