Job Summary

Draft, refine, and maintain detailed technical work instructions, standard operating procedures, and implementation guidance for security controls and system configurations. Recommend, implement, and tune technical protections such as logging, access controls, encryption, and defensive capabilities while balancing cost, complexity, and risk reduction. Design, implement, and support technical solutions for disaster recovery exercises, mission continuity efforts, and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning. Lead research and technical testing of emerging security technologies to determine feasibility and operational adoption strategies. Conduct authorized defensive security exercises, control effectiveness evaluations, and technical security assessments. Provide subject matter expertise to support incident response, control validation, remediation planning, and closing capability or data coverage gaps. This role serves as a technical authority on control execution and operationalizing emerging defensive capabilities for high-profile private and public-sector customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Postgraduate degree from an accredited university
  • 6 years of experience
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Currently be a U.S. citizen
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Compliance with federal contract requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance
