Job Summary
Senior Cybersecurity Engineer on NGA contract responsible for architecting, designing, building, configuring, and deploying on-premises and cloud-based cybersecurity infrastructure and applications on Windows and Linux. Engineer and implement cybersecurity solutions leveraging cloud services (EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, RDS); provision AMIs and perform installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Contribute to enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions, evaluate technology upgrades, develop architecture diagrams, and support test plans and documentation. May serve as a team or task lead; coordinate with stakeholders and external assessors to facilitate security assessments and authorization processes. Requires TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent 8+ years experience), DoD 8140/8570 IAT III certification, and deep expertise in DoD/enterprise cybersecurity with experience across network/endpoint security, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, and cloud infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (in lieu of degree additional 8yrs+ of work-related experience)
- 6+ years related technical experience in network/cybersecurity engineering and experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a highly diverse environment with an emphasis in DoD capabilities
- Certified DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Officer (IAT) Level III
- CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of start date
- Deep expertise in Network Detection and Response, Endpoint Detection and Response, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, email/web security gateways
- Strong technical background with cloud infrastructure, security principles, compute, storage, and transport
- Expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little direction
- Experience modernizing complex enterprise cybersecurity systems
