Senior Cybersecurity Data Engineer - Data Platform & Lakehouse SME

Senior Cybersecurity Data Engineer to serve as the SME for Data Platform and Lakehouse Architecture. Define how data is stored, partitioned, and accessed; establish guardrails for security, governance, and compute standards; lead the design and implementation of a cloud-native Data Lake/Lakehouse on AWS (storage formats Iceberg/Delta Lake, partition strategies, schema evolution, and file maintenance). Build and optimize the foundational compute engines and query layers (AWS EMR, Athena, Redshift); design data marts and semantic platforms; enforce IAM, encryption, network isolation, and cross-account/data-sharing patterns using Lake Formation and IAM. Embrace Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK) to provision multi-environment data infrastructures; manage cost governance and capacity planning to scale with data growth. Certifications and hands-on work with SQL and Python/Bash for automation; familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift; experience with Trino or StarRocks is a plus. Lead a data platform that powers security telemetry, threat hunting, data science, and BI tooling across a large enterprise.
