Senior Cyber Defense Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct continuous monitoring, execute incident response activities, and perform vulnerability assessments to identify, analyze, and mitigate enterprise threats across IT and OT assets. Consume threat intelligence to run proactive threat hunts, evaluate control effectiveness, and support defensive exercises. Manage vulnerability data and reporting inputs within governance systems while coordinating with engineering and RMF staff to validate controls and track remediation gaps. Assist in applying risk assessment methodologies aligned with federal security controls and agency standards. This role requires 10+ years of experience in federal environments, including vulnerability management, threat hunting, and security control evaluation. Applicants must be U.S. citizens eligible for a security clearance, with an active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance beneficial. Position is onsite in Albuquerque, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking
- Must currently be a U.S. citizen
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Must be eligible to maintain a security clearance in compliance with federal contract requirements
- Experience in vulnerability management
- Experience in threat hunting

- Familiarity with federal compliance environments
