Job Summary

Senior Cyber Capability Developer responsible for researching, developing, and executing specialized operational and analytic capabilities to support tactical incident response and computer network operations against sophisticated cyber threats. Build advanced tools and capabilities for operational teams, spanning offensive and defensive cyber security in secured government environments. Role involves software engineering at user and kernel levels, configuring and managing complex networks, handling covert/virtualized systems, vulnerability research, and development of secure, rapid-deploy tools. Core responsibilities include building/testing operational prototypes, analyzing cyber data to create advanced analytical tools, configuring routing/switching fabrics, managing secure network configurations (firewall, VPN, proxy, tunnels), establishing secure data ingest pipelines, administering high-availability virtualized environments, researching novel capabilities and exploitation techniques, reverse engineering of cyber actor tools, performing vulnerability research against endpoints, implementing secure development practices, and creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows for rapid deployment. Also supports systems integration and aligns with Fusion Technology’s commitments to security, compensation, and equal opportunity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in cyber operations or related field (experience may be substituted per policy: 11 years with Associate's Degree or 14 years with High School Diploma)
  • Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Solid understanding of forensic and investigative data requirements
  • Experience designing and implementing software solutions in secure government environments
  • Advanced programming with focus on rapid software prototyping
  • Experience with exploit development and vulnerability research
  • Experience with network analysis and protocol manipulation for attribution management
  • Tool development for cyber operations and cyber effects
  • Data processing/analytics pipelines through secure channels
  • Secure coding practices for sensitive operational tools
  • Development of detection and response capabilities
  • Experience with CAE/CR/CI pipelines and version control (git)
  • Experience with memory analysis and disk forensics in adversarial environments
  • Digital forensics tools and techniques for complex investigations
  • Threat intelligence platforms and integration
  • Encryption and obfuscation techniques for secure communications
  • Incident response methodologies in high-stakes environments
  • Participation in capture the flag exercises, bug bounty programs, and security conferences
  • Management of high-security virtualized environments
  • Experience with malware analysis and reverse engineering
  • Experience configuring complex network environments
  • Experience with VPN, firewall, proxy configurations
