Job Summary
Conduct rigorous market intelligence on crude oil markets with a strong focus on the Americas, identifying key trends to highlight in client reports. Assist in pre-sales efforts by conveying Kpler's view and promote research materials across external stakeholders, including mainstream and specialist media. Identify and report on key developments in the oil and refined products space as part of the Insights offering. Collaborate with product and technical teams to enhance analytical tools, supply-demand models, and the portfolio of client offerings. Contribute to the production of company webinars and external presentations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of prior experience in crude oil markets
- 3+ years of physical trading exposure
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field, with proven experience applying modeling techniques in commercial or research environments
- Experience in producing independent market analysis and insights
- Skilled at conducting complex analyses across multiple datasets using advancing data analytics tools
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excel in collaborative team environments while taking full ownership of deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience using Kpler data or other cargo tracking tools
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other data science tools
