Job Summary
Senior CRM Manager responsible for building the CRM from the ground up and scaling lifecycle programmes across five African markets (Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa). You will design onboarding, retention, churn prevention, and upsell journeys across SMS, WhatsApp, push, and in-app messaging, move customers to higher-value bundles via behavior-based up-sell signals, run rigorous experiments with clear hypotheses, and translate results into repeatable playbooks. You’ll own retention economics, track LTV and renewal rates, and scale successful programmes across markets with hands-on involvement in daily CRM execution using tools like Braze, CleverTap, MoEngage, Customer.io, or Iterable. Collaboration with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams to turn customer behavior into growth opportunities is required. Location-flexible remote role with teams across UK, Europe, and Africa, and a focus on financial inclusion through fintech products. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years building and scaling CRM or lifecycle marketing
- MVNO experience preferred (mobile network ops, prepaid churn prevention)
- Hands-on CRM platform experience (Braze, CleverTap, MoEngage, Customer.io, Iterable)
- Experience designing and scaling multi-channel lifecycle programmes (SMS, WhatsApp, push, in-app)
- Ability to run rigorous experiments (A/B testing) with measurable outcomes
- Track record of optimizing retention economics (LTV, cohort retention, renewals, upsell)
- Ability to scale programmes across multiple markets across Africa
