Job Summary
Manage comprehensive financial and credit risk analysis for Commercial & Industrial loan requests, including financials, projections, industry trends, and management assessments. Present robust credit proposals to approval authorities while collaborating with Lending Officers to ensure accurate, timely data. Attend client meetings and site visits as needed, address credit-related questions from the committee, and provide guidance to junior underwriters. Lead ad hoc credit risk projects and assist in gathering information for bank examiners and internal audits. This role reports to the Senior Credit Officer of C&I with a standard 4-day in-office schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years in credit related field, preferably in a banking environment with C&I experience including small business banking lending and healthcare lending
- Exhibit a strong understanding of compliance, regulations and the Bank's commercial lending policies, clearly outlining any exceptions to policy and supporting rationale in the credit proposal
- Strong analytical / financial modeling skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with desire to develop and coach less experienced members of the team
- Driven by a passion and curiosity to continuously learn how various technological systems, including AI, can enhance the work that you do
- Standard 4-day in-office requirement, 1 day remote (of your choosing and subject to manager's approval)
