Job Summary
Senior Credit Risk Analyst for Auto Financing role focusing on independent risk analysis and oversight of the credit quality of prime auto finance portfolios. Responsible for analyzing credit risk trends, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal controls, identifying mitigation opportunities, and supporting risk-based processing and reporting to reduce losses. Clears and escalates emerging risks, prepares review memoranda, collaborates with business lines to implement improvements, and communicates findings to stakeholders. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and strong communication skills are required to analyze risk data, document conclusions, and contribute to a risk-aware culture. Familiarity with risk policies, governance, and contingency planning is a plus. The position is based in the United States with a Dallas, TX location; base pay ranges from $56,250 to $107,500 annually depending on location, experience, and skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business, Statistics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or a related field – Required
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Statistics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or a related field – Preferred
- 1+ years of experience in Risk Management, Credit Risk, Internal Audit, or a related field – Required
- 1+ years of experience with SQL programming or equivalent programming language (e.g. Python) – Required
- Power BI or similar data visualization and analytics tool – Required
- Basic understanding of reporting, dashboarding and data visualization concepts – Preferred
- Familiarity with querying, validation and reconciling data from multiple sources – Preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to summarize and document findings clearly
- Experience building risk management processes and governance
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience in financial services or banking environments
- Ability to stay current on industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Experience with data analysis and deriving actionable insights
