Job Summary
Senior Credit Officer responsible for credit risk oversight, underwriting leadership, portfolio quality, and policy governance. Drives safe and sound lending aligned with strategic objectives; approves or rejects complex loans, develops and maintains underwriting systems, mentors a credit underwriting team, supports relationship managers, ensures policy adherence, reviews appraisals and loan documentation, and conducts portfolio reporting. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least ten years of banking/credit underwriting experience; based in Chattanooga, TN; full-time with potential for travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Ten years banking/credit underwriting/accounting experience
- Demonstrated ability to approve complex or large loans
- Experience supervising a credit underwriting team
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment
- Strong knowledge of commercial and commercial real estate lending
- Ability to develop and maintain credit policies and underwriting forms
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
