Job Summary
Conduct independent risk analysis for commercial lending requests and existing relationships by evaluating borrower financial condition, repayment capacity, and key metrics such as cash flow and leverage. Translate findings into well-written loan presentations within established deadlines and collaborate with loan officers to structure loans that adhere to lending policies while mitigating risk. Perform ongoing reviews of watch list borrowers to detect potential problems and prepare quarterly memos summarizing status and action plans. Mentor junior analysts through training, direct feedback, and coaching to support team development and department objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, or Business
- Minimum 4 years credit/lending preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Formal commercial lending training
- Can and have underwritten: CRE, C&I, Construction, SBA (7a and 504)
- Has trained and has the ability and willingness to train Jr. analysts
- Applicable federal and multi-state regulations including, but not limited to: National Credit Union Act (FCUA), NCUA Commercial Lending Rule (12 CFR Part 723), NCUA Appraisals Rule (12 CFR Part 722), NCUA Prompt Corrective Action Rule (12 CFR Part 702), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Regulation B (12 CFR Part 1002), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Office...
