Job Summary
Conduct objective, independent analysis of complex credit data and financial statements to determine risk and underwrite loans accordingly. Review credit applications, analyze risk factors such as payment-to-income and loan-to-value ratios, and prepare credit analysis reports including trend analysis and projections for management. Provide leadership to other Credit Analysts, act as a department lead, and train and mentor team members. Interact daily with automotive dealerships to negotiate approvals and build relationships with the Sales/Marketing team and funders to maximize business potential. Meet target goals for productivity and quality while working the majority of weekends. Requires 5+ years of credit review experience in non-prime auto finance, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, and a Bachelor's degree in Business.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of credit review/analysis experience in the non-prime auto finance industry
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Effective communication and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient with the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent work experience
- Working the majority of weekends
