Job Summary
Manage day-to-day credit evaluations for a portfolio up to $2MM exposure, autonomously analyzing business and personal financial conditions to assess creditworthiness. Conduct business interviews to understand client models, revenue sources, and future projections while evaluating complex financial statements, merchant spend, and risk profiles. Prepare analytical credit memos supporting decisions, identifying key risks, and articulating rationale for policy deviations. Collaborate with senior approvers, sales teams, and clients to present credit decisions and proactively monitor portfolio performance. Located in Richmond or McLean, VA, with a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at assigned location
- Richmond, VA or McLean, VA (Only)
- Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
- At least 2 years of experience in credit underwriting, financial analysis, or commercial lending
- High level of intellectual curiosity with a drive to independently solve complex problems
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual skills paired with sound business judgment
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Demonstrated leadership traits, self-motivation, and a team-oriented mindset
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience holding credit granting authority such as: individual signing authority
- 3+ years of experience with underwriting credit products, business credit cards, or commercial credit facilities
