Job Summary
Oversee all maritime maintenance activities for Naval Special Warfare surface support craft, small boats, and jet skis by planning preventive and corrective actions, coordinating schedules with Government representatives, and ensuring compliance with OEM standards and safety protocols. Direct Craft Mechanics through inspections, repairs, and quality control checks while managing surge, deployment, and training-related maintenance requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact with Government personnel to ensure assets meet readiness and availability standards across assigned locations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain installation access credentials
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Compliance with safety, hazmat, and conduct requirements
- Compliance with drugfree workforce standards
- Minimum 5 years performing and supervising small craft or marine vessel maintenance
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in managing maritime maintenance personnel
- Experience with outboard and inboard propulsion systems
- Knowledge of hull, electrical, fuel, steering, and cooling systems
- Experience reading and understanding OEM technical manuals
- Experience planning and scheduling maritime maintenance activities
- Proficiency with maintenance documentation and reporting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined vessel spaces
- Work outdoors in waterfront environments
- Exposure to marine weather conditions, fuels, oils, and noise
- Ability to work on docks, ramps, and vessels afloat or ashore
