Job Summary
Senior Counselor provides direct case management and coordination of care for an assigned caseload of individuals/families, facilitates crisis support and group/individual/family counseling, and coordinates communication among family, DCF, school, probation and other supports. The role requires a BA/BS in a related field, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in Hartford or Manchester, CT in a full-time capacity. Duties include developing care plans, documentation, service delivery in office and community settings, and collaboration with external providers, with opportunities for supervision and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or related field is required (education may be substituted with related experience)
- Experience working with client population with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders
- Effective time management, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and ability to operate a vehicle in the community
