Senior Counsellor (Community Mental Health)

Job Summary
Independently manage highly complex or higher-risk cases, providing psychosocial therapy, counselling, and case management for individuals aged 18 and above with mental health conditions or dementia. Serve as a clinical resource for escalated cases by providing second clinical opinions, conducting case conferences with community partners, and representing COMIT in care coordination with hospitals and GPs. Document and evaluate case outcomes, monitor clinical service quality, and conduct quarterly performance appraisals for supervised staff. Lead training initiatives, develop clinical best practices, and advocate for vulnerable individuals through networking sessions with stakeholders. Oversee data collection strategies, drive needs analysis, and ensure team compliance with internal and external audit guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Counselling or Counselling Psychology from an accredited institution", "At least 10 years of community care / healthcare clinical experience, including at least 3 years working with mental health and/or dementia clients", "At least 4 years of supervisory experience", "Clinical member of SAC", "Preferably registered Clinical Supervisor of SAC
