Job Summary
Senior Counsel with California bar license sought to lead high-exposure insurance defense litigation. Responsibilities include independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials; leading and mentoring junior attorneys; managing client communications and cultivating client relationships; and providing leadership in respect to less experienced attorneys. Requires JD from ABA-approved school, active CA license, 8+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense, strong in discovery and trial, and ability to manage case work with minimal supervision. Flexible work model includes remote, hybrid, or onsite options; base salary $160k-$190k plus billable bonus and comprehensive benefits. Strong emphasis on leadership, strategy, and collaboration within a nationally recognized firm.
Required Qualifications
- JD from an ABA approved school
- Licensed in California
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience
- Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities including discovery and trial
- Strong communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
