Job Summary
Senior Counsel in insurance defense and trial advocacy at Tyson & Mendes. Join a nationally recognized civil defense firm and lead high-exposure cases with courtroom confidence, strategic leadership, and mentorship of junior attorneys. Responsibilities include independently handling court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials; developing compelling case themes; leading and coordinating with teams across experience levels; maintaining routine client communications; cultivating client relationships; and providing leadership and direction for less experienced attorneys. Requirements include a JD from an ABA-approved school, active Pennsylvania bar license, 8+ years of litigation experience (including discovery and trial), experience with insurance defense matters, and strong proficiency with MS Office. Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually plus bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible work model offering remote, hybrid, or onsite options.
Required Qualifications
- Active bar license in Pennsylvania
- JD from an ABA approved school
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience
- Licensed to practice in your state
- Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
- Proficiency in MS Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Independent work style with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
