Job Summary
Senior Counsel, Trade Compliance to support KLA’s global trade compliance program, including licensing and sanctions matters; responsibilities include identifying and implementing legal strategies to manage U.S. trade risk, drafting and issuing correspondence to government agencies, evaluating global regulatory and licensing requirements, developing clear trade-compliance policies and checklists, training cross-functional teams, and partnering with Global Trade Compliance on operational and strategic issues; role involves collaboration with product managers, sales, operations, and executives, and occasional travel to domestic and international offices.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor or equivalent professional law degree
- Bar admission in Michigan in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of experience focusing on trade compliance
- Experience with U.S. and international trade regulations (import/export, sanctions)
- Ability to advise cross-functional teams including product, sales, operations, and executives
- Experience coordinating with outside counsel on regulatory matters
- Occasional travel to domestic and international offices
