Job Summary
Provide legal advice and manage risk for specialized financing segments within TD Canadian Commercial Banking, covering personal and commercial lending, leasing, and related financial services. Support commercial relationships with automotive and equipment dealer networks while leveraging consumer protection laws to develop agreements, disclosures, and processes. Partner with product, technology, and compliance functions to structure innovative solutions that balance client experience, speed-to-market, and regulatory compliance. Simplify complex legal problems to guide business strategy and mentor other team members on emerging product issues. Deliver risk-calibrated counsel that meets business objectives while ensuring clarity, transparency, and regulatory adherence across Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent
- Admission to the Bar in good standing and licensed to practice law in a Canadian province
- 10+ years relevant experience
