Job Summary
Senior Counsel provides legal support across real estate, land use, environmental, siting, and transactional matters for Eversource, including acquisition, modification and disposition of real estate rights and negotiation of related agreements; requires JD and 5+ years of experience, with preferred NH admission; role located in Manchester, NH with hybrid schedule and occasional travel to regulatory hearings in CT, MA, and NH; strong negotiation, negotiation of easements and leases, title reviews, and collaboration with in-house and outside counsel; candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications and ability to work with business clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Juris Doctor degree
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in a law firm, government agency, corporate law department or equivalent
- Admitted to practice in New Hampshire preferred; admit in another state in good standing will be considered
- Experience in real estate, land use, and transactional matters; title reviews; negotiation and enforcement of easements, rights of way, leases, licenses, encroachments, option agreements and purchase and sale agreements
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to collaborate with in-house counsel, internal business clients, company management and outside counsel
- Hybrid work policy allowing up to two days remote per week; willingness to travel to hearings in CT MA NH
