Job Summary
Senior Counsel, Privacy (Fintech) – Bangkok-based role focusing on legal risk areas of data privacy, cybersecurity and AI for Agoda fintech products and payments. Acts as privacy SME for fintech, liaises with cross-functional teams and Booking Holdings brands, supports regulatory filings and audits, negotiates privacy, data protection and AI terms with providers, conducts privacy impact assessments and data mapping, drafts privacy notices and internal documentation, and drives privacy-by-design across product lifecycles. Requires 6+ years PQE with at least 2 years at a reputable law firm and a law degree from a top law school. Location is Bangkok with relocation support; remote work outside Bangkok is not available.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years at a reputable law firm
- Law degree from a top law school
- Demonstrated experience advising on privacy in the fintech, payments or financial services sector
- Good knowledge of global privacy laws and payment regulations (GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, PIPA, APPI, PSD2)
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-starter with adaptability and enthusiasm for building new products and processes
