Job Summary
Senior Counsel, Marketing to support Gap's Global Legal team across marketing initiatives, creative services, talent engagements, and digital marketing platforms; draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements related to marketing, advertising, talent, design collaborations, consulting, new media, and customer engagement tools; provide strategic counseling to business partners while balancing legal considerations and business objectives; collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and manage multiple high‐value matters under deadlines; JD required and licensed to practice in the US with 10+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or multinational company; in-house experience preferred and experience in digital media or adtech is a plus; based in SF, LA, or NY.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the US
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm and/or multinational companies
- Experience drafting, negotiating, counseling and problem solving a broad range of agreements relating to marketing and advertising
- Experience working in digital media, including agencies and platforms, or marketing/adtech, a plus
- Experience with complex talent agreements and SAG-AFTRA issues, a plus
- In-house experience and/or retail, commercial or consumer products, a plus
