Job Summary
Senior Counsel, Government Contracts & Compliance responsible for U.S. government contracting matters with a focus on DFARS/FAR, advising on DoD contracts across lifecycle, guidance on Cybersecurity (CMMC/NIST), supporting proposals and negotiations, drafting/negotiating prime/subcontracts and NDAs, ensuring flow-down compliance, cross-functional partnership with engineering/supply chain, liaising with DoD/State, conducting internal audits/compliance reviews, delivering training on FAR/DFARS/CMMC, monitoring regulatory developments, and promoting ICARE values.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in government contracts and defense compliance within a law firm, corporate legal department, or U.S. government agency
- Deep expertise in FAR and DFARS, including contract compliance, flow-down requirements, and regulatory interpretation
- Experience advising on CMMC, NIST frameworks, or cybersecurity requirements in a government contracting environment
- Strong familiarity with DoD contracting and experience supporting defense contractors or government-facing programs
- Admission to at least one U.S. state bar, in good standing
