Senior Counsel (12-Month FTC)

Job Summary
Senior Counsel will support and advise multiple teams across Europe and globally on customer-facing transactions, product development, privacy, and AI-related questions; draft, negotiate, and maintain contracts and templates; provide strategic guidance on privacy compliance and AI usage governance; identify legal risks with cross-functional collaboration; act as a trusted legal partner to enable rapid expansion; fully remote options available for Ireland/UK and Germany with remote/hybrid possibilities; requires licensed attorney in Germany or equivalent regional jurisdictions; 5+ years’ experience in SaaS/tech; strong contract, privacy, and AI law expertise; fluent English (additional languages a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified lawyer in Germany or at least one of our regional market jurisdictions
- 5+ years’ experience as a commercial lawyer or in-house legal counsel within SaaS or Technology
- Strong focus on commercial and/or regulatory law, ideally with experience across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong working knowledge of commercial contracting, privacy, and technology-related legal matters
- Familiarity with AI-related legal considerations, including advising on AI tools, use cases, policies, or governance
- Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills—able to solve complex tasks in a legally accurate yet pragmatic and timely manner
- Excellent communication skills, assertive negotiation style, and confident presence
- Experience in European business, negotiating agreements governed by different jurisdictions
- Language: Excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus
- Nice to have: Public procurement and tender processes in at least one core jurisdiction
