Job Summary
Complete and report relevant analysis reports according to customer requirements while researching cost and technical parameters. Execute product cost calculations to provide optimization ideas or target costs, and coordinate to solve problems ensuring project delivery. Generate technical insights reports, costing calculations, and DtC/VAVE ideas as assigned by the manager using the technical insights database. Apply more than five years of experience in Product Development, Cost Engineering, and Value Engineering across Thermal, Chassis, and Battery systems to drive engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience/knowledge in the following domains, with experience in Product Development, Cost Engineering, Purchasing, SQE/STA, Lean Manufacturing, or Value Engineering
- Thermal Management Systems (TMS): Air Conditioning (HVAC), Cabin Heating, Water Cooling, Refrigerant Systems, Thermal Modules
- Chassis Systems: Suspension, Steering, Braking, Wheels & Tires, Subframes, Control Arms, Knuckles, Cross Members
- Battery Systems: Battery Pack, Battery Management System (BMS), Cell/Module/Pack, Cell-to-Pack (CTP), Battery Thermal Management, High-Voltage (HV) Components
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies and cost drivers for the following domains
- Thermal Management Systems (TMS): Brazing, Aluminum Tube/Forming, Heat Exchanger Manufacturing, Plastic Injection Molding, TMS-related Electronics, Assembly Processes, Manufacturing Costing
- Chassis Systems: Welding, Precision Machining, Casting, Forging, Stamping, Hydroforming, Surface Treatment/Coating, Assembly Technologies, Manufacturing Costing
- Battery Systems: Cell, Module & Pack Assembly, Laser Welding, Busbar Joining, Extrusion, Die Casting, Adhesive Bonding, Potting, Battery Enclosure Manufacturing, HV Electronics Manufacturing, Manufacturing Costing
- Experience on BOM cost calculation or VAVE from supplier chain, material and manufacturing process
- Bachelor or above degree in mechanical, electronics, industrial engineering or related area
- Good communication skills and teamwork spirit
- Strong adaptability and flexibility, innovative spirit
Desired Qualifications
- English written & oral, overseas study experience is a plus
