Job Summary
Lead commissions of varying complexity and size, delivering end-to-end cost management services from pre-contract feasibility through to handover. Produce full Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and final cost plans while managing pre-qualification stages and tender analysis. Handle post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and variation valuations, ensuring timely and accurate cost checks. Negotiate with contractors to agree final accounts and present pre-contract, post-contract, and ad-hoc reports to clients. Interfacing with clients, contractors, and consultants at all project stages, you will lead a cost management team where appropriate. This role requires Egyptian Nationals based in Cairo with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Real Estate sector.
Required Qualifications
- Egyptian Nationals based in Cairo
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
- In country (Egypt) experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in similar roles
- Detailed knowledge of and experience in the Real Estate / Property sector working for a professional cost consultancy
- Experience of pre-contract services from feasibility through to tendering, measurement of building works for estimating, report writing and preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documentation
- Experience of different procurement methods, single stage, two stage and design and build
- Experience of post-contract services, interim applications, change management, variation valuation and extension of time claims
- Detailed experience of working with standard form contracts, FIDIC
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with contractors personnel with confidence and assurance
- Good knowledge of the construction industry and technical matters
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of different procurement methods, single stage, two stage and design and build preferred
- Professional membership is an advantage i.e. MRICS
- Prior consultancy experience is strongly preferred
