Job Summary
Establish friendly, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders while administering contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget, proactively managing cost variance, contract cash flow, and change orders to ensure projects remain within governance. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering. Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and negotiate final accounts. Lead people and commissions as needed, ensuring all applications are made correctly and in a timely manner. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience
- Sound and suitable understanding of Contract Management (NEC3, Option C preferred)
- Sound and suitable understanding of Cost Management
- Sound and suitable understanding of Change management and control
- Sound and suitable understanding of Valuation
- Sound and suitable understanding of Risk Management
- Sound and suitable understanding of Procurement
- Sound and suitable understanding of Estimating
- Sound and suitable understanding of Pricing
- Sound and suitable understanding of Reporting
- Sound and suitable understanding of Collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude
- Sound and suitable understanding of Sharing best practice
- Sound and suitable understanding of People management
- Sound and suitable understanding of Commission management
- Sound and suitable understanding of Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project life cycle
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering
- Ideally Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent
