Senior Cost Manager

Job Summary
Establish friendly, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and project stakeholders while administering contracts in accordance with project objectives. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion, proactively managing cost variance, cash flow, and contract change to ensure governance and best practice. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering. Negotiate and agree final accounts, drive improvements in forecast accuracy, and lead people and commissions as needed. Requires 10 years of experience in large civil engineering infrastructure sectors, RICS/SCSI chartered status, and proficiency in Excel and contract administration software.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified graduate in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
- Experience in large, civil engineering projects in the rail, water or aviation sectors
- Experience on other large, Civil Engineering infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of the NEC form of Contract
- Chartered via RICS or SCSI
- Right to work in Ireland & UK
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of both pre and post contract roles, including cost planning, procurement, contract formation, post contract cost control, contract administration, value management / engineering, risk management and final accounts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence at senior levels
- Ability to think strategically
- Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Competent in the use of contract administration software
- Numerate
- Computer literate
