Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Workplace Projects

Job Summary
Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle while producing final cost plans and reviewing design services submissions. Reconcile changes with general contractors, communicate status information to stakeholders, and prepare written comments on contractor and consultant submissions. Coordinate cost information for decision-making, drive project priorities based on cost impact, and manage cost checks, valuations, and contingency tracking logs. Lead negotiations on contractor and subcontractor pricing, perform quantity surveying activities, and support portfolio-level financial reporting with monthly cost reports. Ensure final accounts are agreed upon, compile built cost estimates for benchmarking, and coordinate with external consultants for accurate reporting. Mentor talent and model leadership behaviors aligned with company delivery methodologies and SOX control responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Cost Management, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in construction cost management, quantity surveying, cost controls, or project controls
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, change management, cost reporting, and financial controls across multiple projects or programs
- Experience leading cost management services on medium to large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of procurement, cost management, value engineering, and construction industry best practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- On-site presence
- SOX control responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting workplace, tenant improvement, renovation, decommissioning, laboratory, infrastructure, or similar capital projects
- Construction consultancy experience
- RICS accreditation
