Job Summary
Conduct tender analysis and bid documentation from initial preparation through reporting to ensure client value for money. Manage change management processes by identifying, analyzing, and implementing cost-impacting changes. Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments while overseeing project spend through valuations and cost reports. Assist in preparing final accounts, handling claims to secure best value, and support construction dispute settlements with transparency. Communicate variations clearly to teams and drive project decisions through robust cost documentation. This role begins on a contract with potential renewal, requiring fluency in Chinese and English, a chartered status or path to it, and experience in pharmaceutical project cost management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Cost Manager
- Experience from a consultancy background
- Experience on pharmaceutical projects
- Experience in pre-contract cost management
- Experience in budget control
- Experience in cost planning
- Experience in preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with other project stakeholders
- Knowledge on alternative construction materials
- Chartered status or being on the path to complete it
- A degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Chinese language ability
- English language ability
- Ability to manage own priorities and deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Availability for in-person or virtual interviews with video required
