Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor – Industrial & Manufacturing Construction

Job Summary
Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle, producing final cost plans and reviewing design services to ensure accurate data. Coordinate cost information from subcontractors and suppliers while communicating with the general contractor and client to prepare estimate updates and written comments. Manage cost checks, valuations, and contingency tracking logs across multiple phases, driving engineering priorities based on cost impact. Lead negotiations on contractor pricing, prepare monthly cost reports, and ensure final accounts are agreed upon. Mentor team members and implement business management systems to maintain robust auditing and reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of experience in a cost management or quantity surveying role within the construction industry
- Experience supporting or leading cost management on medium to large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of procurement routes, value engineering, and construction cost management best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, or complex retrofit environments is preferred
- Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred
- RICS accreditation or working toward certification is preferred
