Job Summary
Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for a major data center construction program. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining cost plans and estimates across design and delivery, producing monthly cost reports and executive summaries, coordinating all cost information for validation and auditing, leading procurement strategy and commercial negotiations, managing final accounts and change control, supporting risk analysis and contingency management, ensuring robust cost control systems including EVM, coordinating with project controls, leading VE initiatives, monitoring market trends, acting as the primary client interface, and mentoring junior team members. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5–7+ years of cost management or project controls experience on large-scale construction, on-site presence, strong financial and analytical skills, and proficiency with cost management tools; RICS accreditation is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5–7+ years of experience in cost management or project controls on large-scale construction projects
- Experience in mission-critical, industrial, or data center environments preferred
- Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of MEP systems and campus-scale infrastructure
- Strong foundation in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems, and EVM
- Expertise in procurement strategies and commercial management of contractor/vendor contracts
- RICS accreditation (or progress toward certification) is advantageous
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proficiency with industry-standard cost management tools and Microsoft Office
