Job Summary
Lead cost planning, estimating, and commercial management for large-scale hyperscale data center facilities, including core buildings, substations, and site infrastructure. Develop detailed cost plans at key design milestones, manage change control and variances, and evaluate impacts related to power infrastructure and AI-ready design. Perform cost checks, valuations, and contractor negotiations while acting as the primary client interface for all commercial matters. Prepare monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and funding presentations; support value engineering workshops and final account negotiations. Coordinate with designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost updates and robust financial controls. On-site presence in West Virginia with approximately 25% travel to Manassas, VA. Bachelor's degree and 5–7+ years of construction cost management experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5–7+ years of relevant cost management experience within the construction industry
- Proven experience leading cost management on medium to large, high-complexity projects, ideally including data centers, mission-critical facilities, or major infrastructure
- Strong understanding of procurement strategies, value management, and value engineering
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at all stakeholder levels
- On-site presence in West Virginia
- Open to traveling to Manassas, VA approximately 25% of the time (typically one week per month)
