Job Summary
Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a large-scale data-center program in the Phoenix area. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed cost plans, coordinating cost information from design teams, GC and subcontractors, leading value engineering and cost optimization, informing engineering priorities based on cost impact, leading procurement strategy and pricing reviews, preparing contractor submissions and executive updates, managing change control and cost variances, establishing cost-control systems and conducting monthly cost reporting, and mentoring junior staff. Requires 5–7+ years of cost management experience in construction, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong financial and contractual management skills. On-site presence in the Phoenix, AZ area with a flexible hybrid schedule; per diem travel and relocation assistance are available. SOX control responsibilities may apply. RICS accreditation preferred. Relocation assistance is available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Cost Management, or a related field
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience in cost management/project controls within construction
- Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex projects—data center, high-tech, or industrial experience a plus
- Strong budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems, and EVM knowledge
- Proficiency with cost management tools and software
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- On-site presence in Phoenix, AZ with hybrid schedule
