Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Construction

Job Summary
Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle while developing cost plans and estimates through the design phase. Reconcile changes, review design services submissions, and coordinate cost information from suppliers, subs, and A/Es to prepare accurate cost estimate updates. Manage cost checks, valuations, and contingency tracking logs, driving engineering priorities based on cost impact. Lead negotiations on contractor pricing, manage post-contract variances, and produce monthly cost reports for client presentation. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or related fields, 5-7 years of cost management experience, and RICS accreditation is preferred. Located in Indianapolis, IN, this senior position involves on-site presence subject to client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry
- On-site presence
- SOX control responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- RICS accredited or working towards it
- Experience of leading cost management on medium or large sized construction projects of medium to high complexity
- Construction consultancy experience
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
