Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor – Construction Management

Job Summary
Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle, producing final cost plans and reconciling data with general contractors. Review design services submissions, coordinate cost information from suppliers and subs, and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact. Manage cost checks, valuations, and post-contract variances while preparing monthly reports and funding data presentations. Lead negotiations on contractor pricing, develop cost plans through the design phase, and provide commercial input for value engineering. Mentor talent and ensure adherence to SOX controls and internal business management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry
- Experience of leading cost management on medium or large sized construction projects of medium to high complexity
- Construction consultancy experience
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- On-site presence
- SOX control responsibilities
