Job Summary
Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to lead estimating, cost planning, change orders, and overall commercial management for complex, high- tech construction projects in San Diego (advanced manufacturing, cleanrooms). Role includes developing and presenting cost plans, coordinating with design teams and GC/subcontractors, preparing detailed commentary on contractor submissions, supporting procurement, value engineering, and producing monthly cost reports for senior stakeholders. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, 5-7 years of cost-management experience, strong client-facing communication, and SOX control familiarity; on-site presence may be required. On offer is a base salary of $165K-$190K USD with potential bonuses and benefits; relocation not specified as a benefit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management in construction
- RICS accreditation preferred
- Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of medium to high complexity
- Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
- Strong commercial, client-facing, and communication skills
- On-site presence and requirements may change depending on client needs
